# Flagging a report for moderation review

> How to flag a Cora report that violates community guidelines, a full list of available flag reasons, and what happens after your flag is submitted.

If you come across a report that violates community guidelines, you can flag it to send it to the moderation team for review. Flagging is confidential — the report author is not notified that their post was flagged.

<Warning>
  You cannot flag your own reports. The flag option is hidden on any report you submitted.
</Warning>

<Note>
  You can only flag a given report once. Flagging requires a signed-in account with a verified phone number.
</Note>

## How to flag a report

1. Open the report detail page.
2. Click the **Report** button below the post content. (This button does not appear on reports you authored.)
3. In the dialog that opens, select the reason that best describes the issue.
4. If you select **Other**, enter a brief description of the problem (500 characters maximum).
5. Click **Submit report**.

Once submitted, your flag is sent to the moderation team. You'll see a confirmation message in the dialog.
