# Enable or Disable Push Notifications for New Reports

> Get browser push notifications the moment a new report is posted on Cora. Learn how to turn notifications on or off and what to do if your browser blocks them.

Cora can send you a browser push notification whenever a new report is posted by your community. This lets you stay informed in real time without needing to keep Cora open. Notifications are optional and you can turn them on or off at any time from your Account page.

<Note>
  Push notifications require a browser that supports the Push API and Service Workers. Most modern desktop browsers support this. Older browsers and some mobile browsers do not — if yours is not supported, the notification toggle will not appear on your Account page.
</Note>

## Enable notifications

</Steps>

## Disable notifications

To stop receiving notifications, go to your **Account** page, scroll to the **Push notifications** section, and click **Disable notifications**. The button will return to **Enable notifications** confirming that push notifications are off.

## If your browser blocked notifications

If you previously dismissed or denied the permission prompt, your browser may block Cora from asking again. To re-enable access:

<Tip>
  Open your browser's **Settings**, navigate to **Notifications** (sometimes under **Privacy and Security** or **Site Settings**), find Cora in the list of sites, and change the permission to **Allow**. Then return to your Cora **Account** page and click **Enable notifications**.
</Tip>

The exact location of this setting varies by browser, but it is typically found at **Settings → Privacy and Security → Notifications** or **Settings → Site Settings → Notifications**.
